Error: The field ‘OrganizationDt’ with value '0', data is missing

You get this error when the Organization Date on Form 8858 is missing or is not entered in YYYY-MM-DD format.

Solution

  1. In
    Organizer
    Foreign Information
    FDE and FB
    FDE and FB
    [Name]
    General Information
    General Information tab
    Other Section
    , enter the
    Country Organized
    ,
    Entity Type
    , and
    Organization Date
    .
  2. Enter the Organization Date in YYYY-MM-DD format.
  3. Run a full recompute and recreate the Federal e-file to clear the diagnostic.
  4. For consolidated returns, enter the Organization Date for each member before reconsolidating and recreating the e-file.
