Error: XML validation is stopped for 1120 Federal Extension

XML validation stops when creating a 1120 Federal Extension e-file. This occurs when the Top Con locator isn't fully set up or the
Organizer
 hasn't been consolidated.

Error message

Solution

  1. Go to
    TAS
    Consolidate
    .
  2. Under the
    What to Consolidate
     column, mark the
    Organizer
    checkbox, then select
    Save Settings
    .
  3. Select
    Consolidate
    .
  4. Go back to the locator and complete the consolidation steps:
    1. Select
      Organizer
      Consolidated Returns
      Step 1 - What to Consolidate
      Consolidated Return List
      .
    2. Select
      Subsidiary Listing Complete
      .
    3. Go to
      Organizer
      Consolidated Returns
      Step 4 - Review Preconsol Checklist
      Out of balance and compute pending
      .
    4. Select
      Compute all subsidiaries now
      .
    5. Go to
      Organizer
      Consolidated Returns
      Step 5 - Consolidate!
      Consolidation
      .
    6. Select
      Consolidate
      .
  5. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
