Error: Check if the locator number is correct
This happens when the federal return is required to be attached to the state return, but is missing required information.
Error Message
Iowa Electronic Filing: Please go to Organizer > States > State E-file > Enable/Create Returns > Federal Copy tab to check if the locator number is correct.
Solution
- Go toOrganizer, thenStates.
- Go toState E-file, thenEnable/Create Return.
- Go to theFederal Copytab.
- InColumn B Federal Copy, make the selectionAttach a federal XML created in a different locator/binderforIowa Column A.
- Fill inColumns G,H, andI.
- Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
