Solution 1: Populate bank information fields
- Go to .
- Select theExtension - Debittab.
- Populate all required fields for Iowa.
- Enter at least 1.00 inPaymentAmount. Don't enter 0.
- Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
note
Complete Bank Information for all states to resolve related errors. All errors stem from incomplete Bank Information. If you can't populate these fields, paper file the return.
Solution 2: Don’t e-file the extension
- If the client has no Iowa tax liability and no payment is due, don't e-file the extension.
- Iowa automatically grants a 6-month extension without requiring an extension form.
