HEADER-00030-011 e-file error

This error occurs when the tax year begin date for a Maryland 1120 return doesn't begin on the 1st day of the month.

Error message

HEADER-00030-011: Tax Year Begin date-day(DD) must be the first day of begin month.

Solution

The Maryland e-filing system only accepts returns with tax years beginning on the 1st day of a month and ending on the last day of a month. Per the State of Maryland, these dates may differ from the federal return.
note
If you can't change the dates to meet this requirement, the return needs to be paper filed. Maryland won't accept an e-file with tax year dates that don't begin on the 1st day of the month or end on the last day of the month.

      Maryland Date Options
as an override by entering the 1st day of the month in the
      Period begins
      field.
  5. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
