Error: New York No receipts checkbox required when total everywhere receipts is blank

This error occurs when e-filing CT-3, CT-3-A, or CT-3-S for New York with the total everywhere receipts field blank or NONE. The required “No receipts” checkbox hasn’t been selected.

Error message

The "No receipts" box must be checked if the total everywhere receipts is NONE or blank. The checkbox can be found on either CT-3, Page 6, CT-3-A, Page 7 or CT-3-S, Page 4.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    New York
    Allocation and Apportionment
    .
  2. In the
    Additional Information
     section, check the box
    No receipts required to be included in the denominator
    .
  3. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
