Error: New York extension payment option not configured

This error occurs when a New York extension has an amount due but the payment option isn't configured in the Bank Information spreadsheet.

Error message

Electronic Filing - Extension: The extension indicates an amount due. Mark the option "Authorization to Debit Funds", "ACH Credit Option" or "Payment by Check" on the Bank Inform ation spreadsheet, Extension-Debit(tab), columns E, F or I.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Common State
    General Information
    Bank Information
    Extension Debit
     tab.
  2. For New York, populate all columns or remove all columns.
  3. If there's an amount due, populate the bank information in the tab.
  4. Run a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
