[CD-401S] For each Schedule K Shareholder, line 13 must equal the sum of lines 11 and 12 multiplied by 0.0525 (with the result rounded to the nearest whole number), when all of the following conditions are met: Line 3b contains "Yes", Both lines 14 and 15 contain "No", The sum of lines 11 and 12 is greater than zero. (NCCD401S-2161)
Cause
If Form CD-401S, Sch K Detail, Line 3b includes “Yes” and both lines 14 and 15 contain “No” (that is, the shareholder is a resident and not filing the NC-NA in this year or a previous tax year), then Line 13 must equal the sum of lines 11 and 12 multiplied by 0.05499.
Solution
- In theOrganizer, go toStates, thenNorth Carolina.
- SelectShareholder Information, then the shareholder's name.
- InShareholder Information, mark theCompute Income tax for this shareholdercheckbox.
- Answernoto the following questions:
- Is the Form NC-NA filed for this shareholder with the return?
- Has Form NC-NA filed for this shareholder in a previous tax year?
- Do a full recompute, recreate the e-file, and resubmit the return.
