NCCD405-1420 e-file error

NCCD405-1420: If the Tax Exempt-NonProfit indicator and Final Return Indicator are not checked, then Schedule C Line 8 must equal the Apportionment Factor from Schedule O (Part 1, Part 2 line 9, or Pa
This happens when Form CD-405, Page 2, line 14 is incorrect.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Tax forms
    States
    North Carolina
    .
  2. Select
    Form CD-405 – Corporate Franchise
    .
  3. On the
    CD-405, Page 3
     tab, review
    Schedule F, Line 8
    .
    1. If this question is marked
      No
      , go to the
      CD-405, Page 5
       tab and note the amounts on Schedule O, Part 1; Part 2, line 9; or Part 3.
  4. Go to
    CD-405, Page 2
     and make sure the same amount is present on line 14.
  5. You can enter the correct amount by going to
    Organizer
    States
    North Carolina
    Allocation and apportionment
    Allocation and apportionment
    . In the
    Overrides
     section, make sure the
    Income apportionment percentage
     line is either blank or correct.
