Error: The field “ConfirmationNumber” data is missing or the format is not correct
This error occurs when the Ohio RITA Form 27 ConfirmationNumber field contains an invalid value. The Confirmation Number must follow a specific 10-character format: 6 lowercase alphanumeric characters followed by the last 4 digits of the EIN.

Solution
- Go to and enter the Confirmation Number.
- The Confirmation Number must contain 6 lowercase alphanumeric characters followed by the last 4 digits of the EIN.
- Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
