X0000-005 e-file error
This happens when e-filing a Tennessee 1120 return because the Disregarded Entities section is missing the required SOS ID and State Organized information.
Error message
The element DisregardedEntities in namespace http://www.irs.gov/efile has invalid child element EntityOwnedByNum in namespace http://www.irs.gov/efile. List of possible elements expected: EntitySOSID, EntityOrgState in namespace http://www.irs.gov/efile.
Solution
- Go to .
- In theDisregarded entitiessection, enter theSOS IDandState Organized.
- Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.

For entities not registered with the Tennessee Secretary of State Office, enter
Foreign
for State Organized
and either 999999999 or 999999990 for the SOS ID
. E-filing may not be possible for unregistered entities. Contact the Tennessee Department of Revenue for further guidance.
