Error: Texas prior year tax payment

This error occurs when the e-file's missing the type of payment made for last year's return.

Error message

Texas prior year tax payment: Enter the payment made during the preceding tax year.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    State Franchise Tax
    Texas Franchise
    General Information
    .
  2. On the
    General Information
     tab, in the
    Payment of Tax During Preceding Tax Year
     section, select the correct option. Note at least 1 option must be selected.
  3. Perform a full recompute, recreate the e-file, and resubmit.
