This diagnostic appears when the amounts for state taxes accrued or paid on Form 6, Part II, Line 2b don't foot horizontally. The State of Wisconsin requires that the parent and subsidiary amounts match the combined column total.
Solution
Follow these steps to resolve this diagnostic:
- In theTax Formssection, selectStates, thenWisconsin.
- SelectCombined Report,6 – Combined Corporation Return, 6, Page 5, and review theLine 2b Combined Totalscolumn.
- Right-click onLine 2b Combinedand selectSubviewto review the lower member totals that are inconsistent with theCombined column line 2b Taxes Amount.
- Go to theOrganizerand selectStates, thenWisconsin.
- SelectState Adjustments, thenState Accrued or paid (override). Enter amounts in the parent and/or subsidiaries to ensure the total equals the combined column amount for Line 2b.
- Reconsolidate the return and recreate the e-file.
