This error shows if the consolidation process wasn't completed properly. Reconsolidate the return to resolve this issue.

Solution

Follow these steps to reconsolidate and turn on printing:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Consolidated Returns
    Step 1 - What to Consolidate
    Consolidated Return List
    , and select
    Subsidiary Listing Complete
    .
  2. Go to
    Step 4 - Review Preconsol Checklist
    Out of balance and compute pending
    , and select
    Compute all subsidiaries now
    .
  3. Go to
    Step 5 - Consolidate!
    Consolidation
    , and select
    Consolidate
    .
  4. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
The return will print after the consolidation completes without any pending errors.
note
For returns with divisional consolidations (Divcons): consolidate all Divcons first, compute all members (Parent, Sub, Elim), then consolidate the TopCon before completing the previous steps.
If the return still doesn't print after completing the previous steps:
  1. Go to
    Organize
    Federal E-file
    Attachments
    PDF Attachments
    Summary
    Suppress print of attachment list
    .
  2. Clear the
    Full recompute
     checkbox.
  3. Mark the
    Full recompute
     checkbox.
  4. If you want to print returns with attachments, make sure the files aren't shown as 0 or missing.
  5. If you need to attach a PDF, try renaming it so it's fewer than 23 characters with only letters and numbers.
  6. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
