Review the tax return

After entering data into the Organizer and computing the return, use Tax Forms to review the return. The primary purpose of Tax Forms is to review the return.
  1. Select
    Tax Forms
    , then
    Federal
    .
  2. Select the tax form you want to review. When the tax form opens, the amounts you entered into the return will appear in the appropriate field. Calculations are made automatically.
  3. If you need to change an entry, go back to the Organizer screen. The tax form automatically updates.
    note
    Always correct Tax Form information by making changes directly to the Organizer form where the information originated, so that the tax application can perform cross-checking and other data security tests and maintain the natural audit trail.
Use tools such as hyperlinks, diagnostics, overrides, and tick marks to review the data.

Review the tax summary

Reviewing a federal or state tax summary helps you quickly and easily assess the overall impact of a change to a return because it shows the key elements of a return, such as income, deductions, exemptions, taxable income, tax, credits, and balance due/overpayment.
  1. Select any field on a federal or state Organizer Form or Tax Form and click to display the corresponding federal or state tax summary in the Forms Window.
  2. Find the Tax Summary form in the Forms List Window, and select the icon to display the tax summary in the Forms window.

Print preview

You can also create a PDF in Print Preview to use to review the return.
