Set mapping orientation

Configure the mapping orientation and header placement for a custom template in the Workpapers NG Task pane to define how field names appear relative to mapped cells in either columnar or stacked data formats.
  1. In Excel, select the
    Workpapers NG
    tab.
  2. Select the
    Custom Template
    tab from the Workpapers NG Task pane.
  3. In the
    Mapping Orientation
    section, select 1 of the following:
    Option
    When to use
    Horizontal
    Select this when your data is in a columnar format.
    Vertical
    Select this when your data is in a stacked format.
  4. Mark the
    Add mapping headers
    to use the field name as the header.
    note
    • If you selected
      Horizontal
      , the headers appear before the mapped cell.
    • If you selected
      Vertical
      , the headers appear to the left of the mapped cell.
