Rebuild a locator

Rebuilding a locator cleans trapped data causing incorrect calculations or allocations.

The rebuild process deletes temporary files, such as print files, diagnostic files, computations, and more.

The rebuild process doesn't delete data entered in the Organizer, with the exception of overrides entered directly on the tax forms.

Make sure everyone has the locator closed.

Go to Returns
, and search for the locator.

Mark the return, select Info
, and then Rebuild
. Use the History
tab to monitor the rebuild status.

Once the rebuild is complete, open the locator and perform a full re-compute to refresh the return's calculations.
