    : There is an informational diagnostic to alert preparers to a possible rollover issue with prior year estimates paid in the current year. Verify that the amount rolled over from prior year estimates paid in the current year doesn’t include a 2022 overpayment from the 2023 return. Use this query for 2023 1041 to identify potentially affected returns.
    For the 2024 return, go to Organizer, select
    States
    New York Payments
    . In the Estimated Tax section, enter the correct amount for the
    Prior Year Estimates Paid
     in the current year.

:
  • Corrected the Suppress Option for Form 1042, Page 1 so that it doesn’t print when marked.
  • Updated the Form 8835 so it no longer generates incorrect reject diagnostics and validation errors.
Form 4797
: Updated Form 4797, line 10 ordinary income to include installment sales correctly.
Form 5471
: Added the delete function for Form 5471, Schedule P.
Schedule D
: Updated the print of Form 8997, page 1, Part II, check .
Schedule K-1
:
  • Updated grantor tax information letter to calculate the correct investment interest expense
  • Updated the print to correct the non-PTP statement A.

State

We updated or corrected the following:
Alabama
: Corrected the reject diagnostic for K-1 income mismatch that was ignoring Other Income.
California
- Schedule E: Updated the XML file to correctly print the fully disposed marker.
Connecticut
: Updated print for the Signature Authorization Worksheet, which now prints for grantor-type returns.
Hawaii
: Updated Form N-40 Page 3 to correct the statement print overlapping Schedule C.
Iowa
: Updated Schedule K-1 credit information to show different data for different beneficiaries.
Missouri
: Updated the print for the Signature Authorization Worksheet, which now prints for grantor-type returns.
