New jurisdiction for federal e-file
You can now e-file using Jurisdiction 709. This expands the options for federal tax submissions.
New PDF generation for e-file documents
  • We added a performance-enhancing update to our e-file document processing system.
  • PDFs generated from e-file XML documents are now processed
    asynchronously
    . This means that the system now handles these requests in the background in real time.
  • You no longer need to wait for each PDF to be generated before continuing your work.

Updates to the application

We updated or addressed the following:
  • Resolved an issue where disabling user accounts through the
    Import
    function (Admin > Access Control Imports > Import Type: Import Users - Disable/Enable Logins) was not functioning as intended.
  • Corrected the process to
    combine EFileRequestType values
     (such as Reg and Reg2) into a single submission batch when they share the same locator. This update prevents system collision errors and enhances the efficiency of processing tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Resolved an inconsistency where
    e-file returns
     marked as
    E-file Status: Qualified - Suspended
     couldn't be submitted in the application, but could be in the API. The API now aligns with the application. This lets you submit e-file returns in both the application and the API.
PDF Files from legacy Organizer to Web (OTW) Now Successfully Sent to GoFileRoom
  • Resolved an issue if you use the legacy GoSystem Tax application (OTW) where PDF files generated from the Print page weren't submitted correctly to GoFileRoom.
  • In the old GoSystem Tax application, when you selected
    Send to GoFileRoom
     from the Print page, the system would open the GoFileRoom login screen, but the PDF file wouldn't be transmitted. As a result, documents were not retrievable within GoFileRoom, even though the login appeared successful.
  • We updated the application so that now when you generate and submit a PDF it's sent to GoFileRoom and you can retrieve it.
Create a PDF in GoSystem and retrieve it in GoFileRoom
  1. Open a locator in the legacy GoSystem Tax and generate an e-file.
  2. Select
    Print
    .
  3. Create a PDF.
  4. Select
    Send to GoFileRoom
     and log in.
  5. Fill in the required fields in the GoFileRoom modal.
  6. Submit the document to GoFileRoom.
  7. Log into GoFileRoom and search using the entered metadata.
  8. The PDF is now visible and retrievable in GoFileRoom.
1040 E-File Spreadsheet now stays on the same tab after refresh
  • Corrected an issue in the legacy GoSystem Tax Organizer to Web where the e-file screen for 1040 returns would unexpectedly switch tabs after a compute or refresh action.
  • Previously when you ran a
    Compute
     or
    Full Recompute
     on the 1040 e-file screen, the system would jump to a different tab. Now the system preserves your selection.
