What entity types are supported for Tax Return Transfer?
1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 990, 706, 709, and 5500
Does Data Connection and Tax Return Import Export have the same file format?
Tax Return Import/Export has a new file format. There are 2 new data records that will be added for Tax Return Import/Export: Data group 4 (field number 5) and Data group 5 (field number 6), increasing the field number from 7 to 9. Field numbers 5-7 in data connection will become field numbers 7-9
Will the form and field names change?
All the form and field names available in data connection are available in Tax Return Import Export. The form and field names will remain the same, minimizing the changes needed.
What file format changes are there between data connection and Tax Return Import/Export?
There are 2 new data records added for Tax Return Import Export, Data group 4 (field number 5) and Data group 5 (field number 6), increasing the field number from 7 to 9. Field numbers 5-7 in data connection will become field numbers 7-9. We now support JSON and CSV file format.
Is the data source code (O for Organizer, T for Tax Forms, and W for Workpapers), the ninth and last data record field required?
The data source code field will be required for Tax Return Import Export. The file will not pass validation if it is missing.
What new features were added with the Tax Return Import Export?
We added support for all group levels, allowing support for additional fields for import/export. We are adding the ability to import export 706, 709, and 5500 data.
What additional features will be added to Tax Return Import Export this year?
The ability to allow choices to selectively export only specified forms.
Is there an API for importing exporting using Tax Return Import Export?
Yes, an API is available for the Tax Return Import Export process.
