We're pleased to announce the latest update to Guided Assurance, which includes new features and important enhancements to improve your audit experience.
New and improved
- Workpaper locking: Locking is now more dependable. There are clearer messages when a colleague is already working in a file, and locks release properly when someone signs out or closes a window, so files don't stay unnecessarily locked.
- Sign-in and session security: We upgraded how your sessions are authenticated and maintained, improving security and reducing unexpected sign-outs or session errors.
General Enhancements
- Disclosure workpapers: We resolved several issues that could interrupt access to disclosure workpapers, including error messages, expired sessions, and missing access notifications when working across firms.

- Partner roles and permissions: We strengthened how partner roles and permissions are verified behind the scenes, improving security and reliability for firms usingExternal Partner Procedures.
- Sign-in and session security: We upgraded how your sessions are authenticated and maintained, improving security and reducing unexpected sign-outs or session errors.
- Internal control settings: We fixed inconsistencies where theAdjusting for Foreign Currenciessetting wasn't carrying over correctly between related workpapers.
- Engagement setup: We resolved several errors that could occur when setting up engagements, saving certain workpapers, or editing audit areas.
- Risk workflow: We confirmed that updates flow correctly fromRisk IdentificationthroughRisk Assessmentand into theAudit Program.
- PDF exports: We fixed a formatting issue where text could appear cut off in exported PDF workpapers.
