Import an engagement from Guided Assurance or SMART Practice Aids in Engagement Manager
You can import an engagement from SMART Practice Aids or Guided Assurance instead of creating a new engagement. Do the following to import an engagement in Engagement Manager:
- Add a new engagement in Engagement Manager and make sureGuided Assuranceis selected as the external integration source.noteIf the external integration source wasn't selected during the setup of the new engagement, go to the Engagement ManagerPropertiesof the engagement, select theContenttab, then selectGuided Assuranceas the external integration source.
- If the engagement is not already opened, go to theHomedashboard and select your engagement.
- Go to theWorkpaperstab and selectGuided Assurance setup is pending, click here to begin.
- Guided Assurance will open in another window. SelectImport an existing engagementthenContinue.
- Choose the source of the imported engagement.
- You can eitherDrag and drop files hereorBrowse for fileto upload your engagement.
- SelectNextwhen the engagement name and industry shows.noteYou can only upload files with extension.sprtlor.sptr. If you try to upload files with any other extension, you'll get a warning that you've selected an incorrect file type.
- The import may take several minutes. If you choose to continue with the import, selectUpload and Import Engagement.
- When the import is done, you'll get an alert that saysYour Engagement data has been imported. Close the screen after you get this message.
- Go back to Engagement Manager to access your imported engagement.
