Import an engagement from Guided Assurance or SMART Practice Aids in Engagement Manager
You can import an engagement from SMART Practice Aids or Guided Assurance instead of creating a new engagement. Do the following to import an engagement in Engagement Manager:
Add a new engagement in Engagement Manager and make sure
Guided Assurance
is selected as the external integration source.
note
If the external integration source wasn't selected during the setup of the new engagement, go to the Engagement Manager
Properties
of the engagement, select the
Content
tab, then select
Guided Assurance
as the external integration source.
If the engagement is not already opened, go to the
Home
dashboard and select your engagement.
Go to the
Workpapers
tab and select
Guided Assurance setup is pending, click here to begin
.
Guided Assurance will open in another window. Select
Import an existing engagement
then
Continue
.
Choose the source of the imported engagement.
You can either
Drag and drop files here
or
Browse for file
to upload your engagement.
Select
Next
when the engagement name and industry shows.
note
You can only upload files with extension
.sprtl
or
.sptr
. If you try to upload files with any other extension, you'll get a warning that you've selected an incorrect file type.
The import may take several minutes. If you choose to continue with the import, select
Upload and Import Engagement
.
When the import is done, you'll get an alert that says
Your Engagement data has been imported
. Close the screen after you get this message.
Go back to Engagement Manager to access your imported engagement.
