Breakout rooms

As an instructor, moderator, or tutor, you can use the Breakout tool to break up your webinar participants into separate groups. This tool is helpful if you want participants to work together in small groups.

Start breakout

  1. Select
    Tools
    , then
    Breakout
    .
  2. Assign participants to a room. You can drag and drop them or select the
    Auto-Assign
    switch.
  3. If you want the breakouts to automatically close after a certain amount of time, set a timer. Mark the
    Set timer
    checkbox and enter the time.
  4. Select
    Breakout
    to start the breakout.

Manage breakout

If there's a breakout in session, you can manage it by selecting the Manage Breakout. From there, you can:
  • Message:  Send a message to all participants in all rooms.
  • Assignments: Change room assignments.
  • Timer: Enable, disable, or add 10 minutes to the timer.
  • Join: Select
    Join room

  • End: Select
    End breakout
