Share your screen in a webinar

This applies to licensed Connect users only.
When you instruct or moderate, a webinar you can share your screen during a webinar by going to
Tools
and select
Desktop Share
.

Screen sharing on Chrome

If you are running Chrome on a MacOS Catalina computer first allow permission for Chrome to screen record.
  1. Select the apple icon in your computer's top navigation bar.
  2. Select
    System Preferences
    .
  3. Select
    Security & Privacy
    .
  4. Select the
    Privacy
    tab.
  5. Scroll through the left column and select
    Screen Recording
    .
  6. Select the field next to
    Google Chrome
    .
  1. Select
    Tools
    .
  2. Select
    Desktop Share
    option.
  3. Select what you'd like to share.
    • Your Entire Screen
      - Default option. If you have multiple screens, you can select which screen you want to share. Sharing the screen that is the live webcast room
      Tunneling Effect
      : When sharing your screen, you may experience a tunneling or infinite window effect. This can happen when the screen or window you are sharing is the live webcast room. Select a different monitor or application window to share to avoid this effect.
    • Application Window
      - View a list of applications running, then select which app you'd like to share. Applications can't be hidden or minimized to share it.
    • Chrome Tab
      - Select a specific browser tab you want to share.
  4. Select the
    Share
    button.
  5. Select
    Stop Sharing
    in the extension footer bar or at the top left of the stage, to stop sharing your screen.

Screen sharing on Firefox

If you are running Firefox on a MacOS Catalina computer first allow permission for Firefox to screen record.
  1. Select the apple icon in your computer's top navigation bar.
  2. Select
    System Preferences
    .
  3. Select
    Security & Privacy
    .
  4. Select the
    Privacy
    tab.
  5. Scroll through the left column and select
    Screen Recording
    .
  6. Select the field next to
    Firefox
    .
  1. Select
    Tools
    .
  2. Select the
    Desktop Share
    option.
  3. Firefox will prompt you to select the screen you'd like to share.

    Sharing your screen with the live webcast room may cause a tunneling effect. Select a different screen to share.

    Allow
    .
