If you have created a matter that will include alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), you can add these to the matter on the
Firms
tab once the matter is created and saved.
To find and open a matter
Select
Matters > Matter list
in the left navigation.
Locate the matter in the list and click the hyperlinked name.
All matters must have a primary fee arrangement. After you have created the matter, you can use the
Firms
tab to configure the fee arrangements. The
Firms
tab provides a consolidated view of the firm's open matters, and is where you configure matter financial details.
Matters can also have one or more secondary fee arrangements. There are six types of secondary fee arrangements, and a matter may have one of each type, for a maximum of six secondary fee arrangements. Volume discounts are an example of one type of AFA. When creating matters, users with a role of Matter Creater or higher can add volumne discounts to the matter.
note
The volume discounts and details for each are configured by a Company System Administrator.
