Save attachments and emails using the G Suite add-in

From an open email in Gmail, use the add-in to upload either selected attachments or the email with all attachments.
  • The Legal Tracker add-in is installed and you're signed in.
  • You have permission to upload emails and attachments in Legal Tracker.
When an email is open in Gmail, the add-in provides 2 upload options:
  • Save attachments
    : uploads selected attachments only.
  • Save email and attachments
    : uploads the email and automatically includes all attachments.
  1. Open an email in Gmail and open the Legal Tracker add-in from the side panel.
  2. Select an upload option.
    • To upload attachments only, select
      Save attachments
      .
    • To upload the email and all attachments, select
      Save email and attachments
      .
  3. If you selected
    Save attachments
    , select the attachments you want to upload, then select
    Next
    .

    If multiple attachments are available, you can upload all of them or deselect the attachments you don’t want.
  4. Complete the required upload details:
    • Name
      (prepopulated by default; you can edit it)
    • Review Requested
      (select
      Yes
      if needed, otherwise leave blank)
    • Folder
      (required; select from the dropdown)
    • Access Security
      (required)
    • Matter
      (required)
  5. Select a matter. You can choose from
    Favorites
    or
    Recent
    , or use the search field and select the matter from the results.
  6. Select
    Submit
    . A notification verifies the upload was successful. Close the message to continue.
The uploaded email and/or attachments appear in Legal Tracker in the Documents area. Document viewing behavior remains the same.
