Details
Tracker Account
Users are added in Tracker, and user credentials are stored securely in the Tracker database.
Company users enter their user name and password on a
Legal Tracker Account Sign-in
page to begin using Tracker.
OnePass
OnePass lets users sign in to multiple Thomson Reuters® products and websites with a single user name and password.
The
Legal Tracker sign-in
page redirects users to the OnePass sign-in page.
note
Law firm users are required to use OnePass to sign in to Tracker.
OnePass with MFA
Company administrators can set up an additional requirement for multi-factor authentication for OnePass users.
After selecting a company that requires strong authentication, firm users are redirected to the OnePass MFA screen.
The default authentication method is the primary email address on the account, and users can add additional authentication methods.
Azure Active Directory
Azure Active Directory provides a single, automated, auditable process for adding and deactivating users, and is often used to access Microsoft 365 products.
Users use their existing company-issued credentials, identity provider (IdP), single sign-on (SSO) provider, and Active Directory to access Tracker.
Users are authenticated by their company system before they access Tracker. The Tracker start page redirects users to their company-managed sign-in page where they sign in to Tracker with their company-issued credentials, which are authenticated by the company’s identity or SSO provider.
SAML
Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is an open standard, XML-based markup language, commonly used to implement single sign-on. SAML supports many modern identity provider (IdP) solutions.
When SAML authentication is enabled, company users sign in to Tracker by using their company’s sign-in page and their SSO credentials, bypassing the classic Tracker sign-in.
The company’s identity provider manages user names and passwords.
