Enabling SAML Integration
SAML authentication is enabled on request. Your company's IT department completes a one-time configuration in the IdP. You can then enable SAML authentication in Tracker. When you use SAML authentication to log on to Tracker, you log in using your SSO and bypass the native Tracker account sign-in. To use SSO with Tracker, your company must have an account with a single sign-on identity provider, and you need to have expertise with the IdP system you use for single sign-on.
note
Companies must provide a support contact.
When SAML authentication is enabled, user accounts are created in Tracker, but user names and passwords are stored and managed by the IdP, not Tracker.
When users use SAML to authenticate to Tracker:
- Change/reset password options are not available in Tracker.
- Users are not locked out because of invalid Tracker credentials.
- No sign-in history is available.
