The available categories for non-compliant fees will show on the side panel.
Select
Administrative and clerical tasks
.
note
Administrative and clerical tasks include key support functions such as managing documents and files, and creating, organizing, maintaining, and distributing them via photocopying, scanning, and electronic filing.
These tasks also cover data entry, word processing, and basic proofreading, but don't involve any substantial legal analysis or decision-making.
We only support the
Administrative and Clerical
category as part of this audit, but the scope will expand.
Set up the behavior of your audit:
Double check billing guidelines:
Review the billing guidelines currently loaded in the system. If no billing guidelines have been uploaded yet, you'll need to upload them before proceeding.
Extract and analyze definitions:
The system processes your billing guidelines in the background, extracting and analyzing non-compliant fee definitions for administrative and clerical task categories. When complete, it presents a side-by-side comparison for each identified category:
What was extracted
(left column) – shows the raw non-compliant fee definitions pulled directly from your billing guidelines, written in your own terminology.
What's recommended
(right column) – shows the definitions after they’ve been mapped to industry best-in-class definitions that align with common legal billing terminology.
note
For each category, you can use the
Accept recommendation
switch to apply the standardized definition, or leave it off to keep your existing language in place.
Review and verify:
Review your selections across all categories. Once verified, the system will analyze all future invoices for non-compliant fees and flag them accordingly.
