Change a User's System Role

Company System Administrators can modify other company users' system roles. However, company users cannot change a law firm user's system role.
  1. Click
    Users
    >
    User list
    from the left navigation..
  2. In the first drop-down list, select
    All Company Users
    .
  3. Click
    Edit
    to the left of the user's name. If you do not see the user whose profile you want to edit, change the user listing using the
    View Selector
    (the drop-down menu at the top of the page), and then click the
    Change View
    button.
  4. Next to
    System Role
    , select the user's new system role using the drop-down menu.
  5. On the toolbar, select
    Save & close
    .

Security Note Company System Administrators cannot modify the system role of a law firm user. Law firms may be working with multiple clients on Tracker. Consequently, law firm system administrators are solely responsible for changing the system role of a law firm user. If a law firm user's system role needs to be changed, a firm system administrator must make that change.
To look up the name of a firm system administrator
  1. Click
    Users
    >
    User list
    from the left navigation.
  2. In the first drop-down selection, select the applicable firm
  3. Select
    All Users
    from the next drop-down list.
  4. Click
    Change view
    .
  5. Change the third drop-down selection to
    Firm Admin
    .
  6. Click
    Change view
    .
