Closing a Matter

Viewing closed matters

Closed matters are no longer shown in your list of open matters, but you can still access and review them at any time from the
Matter list
 in Legal Tracker. Depending on your permissions, you may be able to view closed matters you own, matters for which you are the lead, and other closed matters you have access to through special organizational unit and/or practice group permissions.

View all closed matters you can access

  1. In the left navigation, select
    Matters
    Matter list
    .
  2. From the
    Matter
     List, select
    Closed matters
     to display all closed matters you can access.
  3. Select the name of the relevant matter to view the matter profile.

View only your closed matters or closed matters for which you are lead

  1. In the left navigation, select
    Matters
    Matter list
    .
  2. On the Matter list page, select
    Search & Filter
    .
  3. In the filter panel, select either
    All My Matters
     or
    All Matters for which I am Lead
    .
  4. Select
    Currently Closed Matters
     under
    Matter Status
    .
  5. Apply any additional filters as needed, such as Internal/External, standard filters, search field, or other available criteria.
  6. Select
    Apply
    .
  7. The results in the grid will update to display the matching closed matters.
  8. Select the name of the relevant matter to open its matter profile.
