Print and scan with Azure Virtual Desktop
Before you can print and scan with Azure Virtual Desktop, you need to adjust your default settings.
Set a default printer and scanner
- For Windows computers, open your Start Menu and scroll to findTerminalWorks.
- SelectTerminalWorks, then openOptions.
- After the Options window opens, select your preferred printer as theDefault Printer.noteThe TSPrint default printer and the Windows default printer typically stay in sync. However, if Windows is configured toLet Windows manage my default printer, it's more important to select your preferred printer here in this field.
- Open theRedirectiontab and mark theAlways map default printercheckbox and any additional printers you want to map.
- SelectApplyto save your changes.
- When you print, selectTSPrint Defaultto print from aVirtual Client Officeapplication powered by Azure Virtual Desktop.noteIf you use FileCabinet CS, you need to install the FileCabinet CS Print Driver. To install, go toVirtual Client Officeand openApplications,thenSetup, then selectFileCabinet CS Print Driver.
- Go back to your Start Menu and scroll to findTerminalWorks again.
- SelectTerrminalWorks.
- OpenTSScan Client Settings.
- ChooseSelect Default Scannerto set your preferred scanner.
Formatting issues
If your documents or machines have custom margins or fonts that appear incorrect when you print, you can try another setting in TSPrint.
- For Windows computers, open your Start Menu and scroll to findTerminalWorks.
- SelectTerminalWorks, then openOptions.
- In the General tab, find the PDF Print Engine dropdown and choose another option instead of Default. If you have more questions, TerminalWorks has a TSPrint Guide.
Accounting CS printing document types
In Accounting CS, select the desired printer for each document output type in the Printers tab in
Setup
, User Preferences
.note
If you use a single printer and paper source, or if you have document output types using the same default printer and paper source, select
Default
for those rows. Only the document output types that need to use a separate non-default printer or paper source require a distinct selection for those rows.
