Print to Server

Server Printing is when the generated notice is never displayed in the user's browser, and is printed directly to the web server's default printer.
Print to Local Portable Document Format (PDF) File is when the generated notice is delivered to the user's browser as a PDF file.

Installing and Configuring the System for Server Printing

To install and configure Policy Terminator for server printing do the following:
  1. Install Adobe Acrobat Reader on the web server.
  2. Configure the NoticeGen service to log on under the administrator account.
  3. Specify a default printer for the NoticeGen (administrator) account.
Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader®
Go to Adobe's website to download Acrobat Reader.
Configuring NoticeGen Service
These instructions assume that Policy Terminator® has been installed.
Windows
Launch the services application by:
  1. In the Microsoft Start
    Search
    , enter
    Administrative Tools
    .
  2. Select
    Services
    .
  3. Locate the
    ODEN NOTICE GENERATION SERVICE
     in the list and open it.
  4. Select the
    Log On
     tab.
  5. Select the
    Log On As
     option.
  6. Click the
    Browse
    (...) button.
  7. Select the "
    ADMINISTRATOR
    " account.
  8. Click
    OK
    .
  9. Enter the administrative password in both password boxes.
  10. Click
    OK
    .
  11. Restart the service.
  12. Close all open windows.
Configuring Default Printer
  1. Log on to the web server as the administrator.
  2. Open the
    Printers
     window.
  3. Select
    Start
    .
  4. Select
    Settings
    .
  5. Select
    Printers
    .
  6. If the desired printer is already in the list set it as the default printer. If not, select the
    Add Printer
     option and follow the instructions to install the printer.
