Connect to OData

Follow these steps to configure the connection to ONESOURCE Data Query APIs.
  1. Select
    Connect to OData
    , then
    OK
    .
  2. In Excel, select
    Data
    Queries & Connections
    .
  3. Open ONESOURCE Data Query, then select
    Edit
    to open the Power Query Editor.
  4. Select the table, then select
    Add as New Query
    to install it into Excel.
  5. If you access Power Query Editor for the 1st time, you may receive the following message:
    Please specify how to connect.
    If you do, follow these steps:
  6. Select
    Edit Credentials
    .
  7. Select
    Anonymous
    , then
    Connect
    .
  8. If you previously accessed OData via direct URLs:
  9. In Excel, go to
    Data
    Get Data
    Data Source Settings
    .
  10. Select
    Global Permissions
    .
  11. Select
    Clear Permissions
    , then
    Clear All Permissions
    .
  12. Go to
    Data
    Queries & Connections
    to reopen the Power Query Editor.
  13. Select
    Edit Credentials
    .
  14. Select
    Anonymous
    , then
    Connect
    .
tip
Always close all Excel windows before closing Excel. If you close Excel with open windows, the ribbon may not install when you open Excel the next time. If this occurs, end any remaining Excel processes in Task Manager, then reopen Excel.
