Register the Data Import Excel Add-in

Register the Data Import Excel Add-in to access mapping and import functions after installation.
Contact your administrator to obtain permissions before you register and use the Excel Add-in.
important
Excel doesn’t display the registration prompt automatically after you install the add-in. You need to open the registration window manually.
  1. Open an Excel spreadsheet.
  2. Go to
    Data Import
    About
    Add-in Info
    Registration
    .
  3. On the
    Registration
     screen, ,
    select the tax application from the
    Product
     dropdown. Enter your
    Login ID
    ,
    Firm
    ,
    Password
    , and select
    Register
    .
  4. Select
    OK
     when the registration is complete.
  5. (Optional): To register additional licensed products, select the
    Product
     dropdown and choose another product.
  6. Select
    Done
     after you register all products.

Register the Data Import Excel Add-in with single sign-on (SSO)

Configure SSO settings and register the Data Import Excel Add-in to access your tax applications through single sign-on authentication.
note
If your administrator includes you on the Exemption list, you can continue to register the Excel Add-in with your ONESOURCE sign in and password using the standard registration process.
  1. Configure SSO settings:
  2. Go to
    Addin Info
    Settings
    Login
     tab.
  3. Clear the
    Universal ID
     and
    Password
     fields if they contain any values. SSO users must leave these fields blank.
  4. Mark the
    Use Single Sign-on
     checkbox.
  5. Configure your customized Single Sign-on URL:
    1. Double-click the
      URL
       field.
    2. Enter your customized URL that includes the Excel Add-in authentication:
      https://customizedclientssourl.com&TargetResource=https://www.onesourcetax.com/amer1/home-login/UniversalLogin.aspx?OSTarget=opentoken
      tip
      If Registration fails:
       Verify the URL is auto-populated and doesn't have trailing or leading spaces. Go to
      Add-in Info
      Settings
      Income Tax
      , double-click to highlight and delete the Service URL. Select
      OK
      . Reopen
      Settings
       and verify that the Service URL auto populates before Registration.
      Contact Customer SSO at customer.sso@thomsonreuters.com if you need assistance locating your company's customized URL.
  6. Go to the
    Income Tax
     tab and enter your 4-character account number in all caps.
  7. Go to the
    Estimated Payments
     tab and enter your 4-character account number in all caps.
  8. Select
    OK
    .
  9. Register with SSO:
  10. Select
    ONESOURCE Platform
     from the dropdown.
  11. Verify that the
    Universal ID
     and
    Password
     fields remain blank.
  12. Select
    Register
    .
