Convert account maps

Export account maps from GLM Classic as a CSV file, then import and map the data to your chart of accounts.

Export the data

  1. In General Ledger Manager Classic, go to
    Setup
    , then
    Account Maps
    .
  2. Select the option to
    Export
     the data.
  3. The export process will generate an
    .xlsx
     file containing 3 columns:
    1. SecondaryChartName
    2. SecondaryAccountCode
    3. MasterAccountCode
  4. Review the data to ensure it has been exported correctly.
  5. Save the file in
    CSV
     format.

Import the data

  1. Go to
    Administration
    ,
    Company Info
    , then
    Accounts
    .
  2. Open the
    Rollup
     tab and ensure the
    Chart of accounts
     tab is selected.
  3. Select
    Add Rollup
    .
  4. Fill in the following details:
    • Rollup name
    • Select
      Summary chart
    • Description (optional)
  5. From the list of available account rollups, select the one you added.
  6. Select
    Import
    .
  7. Use the wizard to upload and map the exported data from General Ledger Manager Classic.
  8. Map the fields as follows:
    • SecondaryChartName
       to
      Chart of name
    • SecondaryAccountCode
       to
      Account code
    • MasterAccountCode
       to
      Summary account Code
  9. Set
    Start Row
     to 2 to skip importing the header row from your CSV file.
  10. Follow the remaining steps in the wizard to complete the import process.
  11. Review the imported data to ensure accuracy.
