Classification Lookup (Product Lookup)
The
Classification Lookup
screen provides a high-level overview of all records stored at either the Global
or Country
level. It is typically used as the landing screen for the ONESOURCE Global Classification solution. For general overview information on the Lookup functionality, check the Lookup & Dynamic Form user guide.The China AEO Classification Lookup contains different categories which are described below. You can access them by clicking the sub-menu
Product Lookup
, under Classification
:

Unclassified Products | You can view and extract all the unclassified products and related supplier information. Unclassified means the product is not classified for any HS Number. |
Products with Invalid Hs Numbers | You can view and extract all the products and supplier information where the HS Number is invalid in Global Trade Content.

Usually there will be a validation message like ‘Global Classification - Global Trade Content shows Invalid HS Number…’. |
Products with Invalid CIQ Code | You can view and extract all the products and supplier information where the related CIQ code is invalid.

Usually there will be a validation message like ‘Statistical code xxx is invalid for Country Code xx and HS Number xxx’. |
SDE Action Required | You can view and extract all the products and SDE information where the SDE information is not fully maintained. You can navigate to the SDE Maintenance page by clicking the 'Maintain' button in the lookup report.

'Not fully maintained' means the SDE elements are missing for the product, or any SDE value of the related SDE element is empty. |
Audit Log Lookup | You can view and extract all the audit log information related to product classification. For example, the [HSNum] of [Product number] xxx is changed from xxx to xxx by somebody at some time. |
Products in Shipment but not in Classification | You can view and extract all the invoice and product information where the products are being used in invoice but do not exist in classification. This scenario happens when some clients input data in invoice using ERP (interface), which turns out that there is invoice data but no classification data. |
Template - Product Spreadsheet Upload | You can view and extract all products with detailed product information. |
Template - China SDE Extract | You can view and extract all products with detailed SDE information (with both active and inactive SDE information). |
China SDE Extract (Standard) | You can view and extract all products with detailed SDE information (with active SDE by default). You can view and extract the inactive SDE by selecting 'Inactive SDE' from the dropdown in the lookup report. Active SDE means the SDE is being used for the related product currently. Active SDE contains at least 1 SDE value for any SDE element. You can set the SDE active by clicking ‘Set as active’ button in ‘SDE Maintenance’ page manually, or the system will automatically set the SDE as active by the spreadsheet uploading. Inactive SDE means the SDE is not being used for the related product currently. When you change the HS Number for a product, the new HS Number related SDE will be inactive by default. If there is one active SDE and multiple inactive SDE for a product, when you set an inactive SDE to be active, the original active SDE will become inactive. |
China SDE Extract (Comparison) | You can view and extract all products with inactive SDE, compare the previous SDE elements with current SDE elements and fill in the SDE values accordingly. When you change the HS Number of a product, the system will pull the new HS Number related SDE elements from Content. This lookup report will compare the new SDE elements with the previous elements and suggest SDE value if the new element matches with the previous element and can fill in the SDE values according to the suggested SDE values. |
Products with Supervision Control Codes | You can view and extract all products and the related Control Codes. Only products with at least one Control Codes will be displayed in this lookup report. |
