Country Level Controls
The
Country Level Controls
sub-tab displays a grid indicating any controls not classified by the government to specific HS Numbers. These are provided for reference and appear across all HS Numbers in that specific tariff schedule.It is also possible to extract these controls into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. This can be done by clicking on the
Export to Excel
button.
All three grids of the
Controls
sub-tabs are formatted to include the following columns:Columns | Description |

Control Type | Indicates the type (Import/Export) of the control. |
Control Country | Indicates the country requiring control on the product. If the country is part of a country group (e.g. France), it will display controls related to the country or its group (e.g. France or the European Union.). |
Description Culture | Indicates which language the control description is written in. |
Controls Description | Displays a description of the control. |
Allowable Description | Some controls are dependent on the country of import or export. This clarifies if the control includes or excludes countries in the Country List. |
Country List | Indicates a list of countries that either need to comply with the control or do not need to comply, based on the allowable description. |
Agency | The government agency managing control. Hyperlinks to Agency Detail pop-up, which provides additional agency details. |
Expiration Date | The expiration date of the control. |
