Tariff Updates

The
Tariff Updates
 screen provides a listing of all tariff schedules in a user’s subscription, the last ten (10) times each tariff schedule was updated, and the HS Numbers impacted by the most recent update.
This screen can be opened by choosing
Tariff Updates
 from the
Content
 menu.
This screen displays a grid called
HS Maintenance Log
, showing all tariff schedules to which a user has access. The grid columns include
Tariff Schedule, Update Status
, and
Last Source Update Date
.

UPDATE STATUS

Update Status
 indicates which process each tariff schedule is currently undergoing through the Global Trade Content team. The potential statuses include:
Statuses
Description
Complete
Most recent updates have been processed and are available to view in the system.
Tariff Updates In-Process
The Global Trade Content team is currently in the process of updating this tariff schedule.
Antidumping Updates In-Process
The Global Trade Content team is currently in the process of updating anti-dumping regulations for this schedule.

LAST SOURCE UPDATE DATE

Last Source Update Date
 indicates when each regulation was last updated by its official source.
Note that tariff schedules sometimes announce updates but do not release the actual updates until later.
Tariff schedules also sometimes publish changes after the effective date (i.e. changes published on January 5th may be have an effective date of January 1st).

TARIFF SCHEDULE

When you click the expansion arrow next to a tariff name, a drop-down appears showing the last ten (10) times the tariff schedule was updated. This information displays in a grid format with the columns listed below.

Status
Displays the same information as the
Status Update
 column in the
HS Maintenance Log
 table.
Start Date
The date that Global Trade Content started the updates to the tariff schedule.

Some government organizations announce updates to tariff schedules before they take effect/release all the updated information.
End Date
The date that Global Trade Content finished the updates to the tariff schedule.
Source Date
The date the government announced updates to the tariff schedule.
Number of HS Rows Affected
The total number of HS Numbers affected by the tariff schedule update.
Clicking the expansion arrow next to the
Status
 column expands a grid indicating the updated HS Numbers.
By default, this grid displays 5 HS Numbers and their associated descriptions. Use the
Page size
 drop-down to view more HS Numbers associated with this update in increments of 10, 20, or 50. You can also navigate to a HS Number in the tariff schedule by clicking on it.
The HS descriptions default to display in English unless English translation is unavailable. To see which languages are available for descriptions on the selected tariff schedule, click on the
HS Description Culture Code
 field, and select a language from the drop-down.
