Business Process Management (BPM) Visibility
Business Process Management (BPM) visibility flows are designed to provide a high level overview of your business processes. Below is an example BPM for reference. Your BPM flow may look different from the below example depending on the business process it represents.
Process flows are read from left to right. Each step of a process flow will be broken down into the following three pieces of information.
Step Name
The step name describes what is happening for the specified process step. An example of this would be the Staging Data Transfer step.
Number & Date Stamp
In the upper left of each step is a number or date representing an action occurring within the specified process step.
A date stamp represents the age of a transaction being processed in the system.
A number stamp represents the total number of transactions that need to be assigned to that step.
Light Indicator
Light indicators are dots located on the upper right corner of each process step. Light indicators will be one of the following four colors:
Light indicators color | Description |
|---|---|
Blank | This step is currently not in process. |
Green | his step has been completed. No further action is required. |
Yellow | This step is in process. |
Red | Immediate action is required by a user to resolve an issue. |
