Request number templates tab in Multi-Level Approvals (MLA)

In
Request number templates
, you can view the available request number templates for approval area. Admins can create a new template on this tab and also turn on/off auto generation of request number.

Template string
The request number format set by admin. This can include approval area, date and string, and must include auto increment number to maintain uniqueness of request number.
Auto generation enabled
Check box control to indicate if request number needs to be auto generated using the template. If this checkbox is not checked, then request number needs to be provided manually while creating request.
Created By
Admin name who created the request template
Created date
Indicate the date on which the request number template was created.
Modified by
Admin name who modified the request template
Modified date
Indicate the date on which the request number template was last updated.
Add new request number template
Admin can add request number templates on this screen.Confirmation message will be displayed on successful creation of templates and templates will be shown in the grid.
  1. Click on
    Add template
    button. This action opens the
    Add request number template
    modal.
  2. Select the approval area on modal window and then set up the request number template using placeholders like Date, String, auto increment number and approval area.
  3. Turn on the auto generation if this newly created template is ready to be used by system for auto generation of request number.
  4. Save the template.
  5. Clear template option is also available on the same modal if the template needs to be reset.
