Analysis of Current Settings

section provides a visual representation of how changes to settings may impact the speed and accuracy of a search.
For example, switching
AND
to
OR
changes the percentage threshold and affects the performance of the screening.
Current settings analysis
Meaning
Hit Likelihood
The probability that the current settings will generate a hit when screening. If the bar is set closer to
High
, you will receive more hits when screening a party. However, this also increases the risk of receiving false positive data on a screening.
Performance
A representation of how current settings impact the speed of a screening. If the bar is closer to
High
, the screening will take longer. The difference between
High
and
Low
performance is typically a few seconds.
Default Search Options
The
Default Search Options
settings help you manage search operators.

    Search Name
field in combination with address fields to determine how a search is screened.
  • AND
: Returns a search result only if there is a match on the search name and on every provided address element. The Advanced Engine will Average the
    Name Match

    Address Match
factoring in the weighing of each from
    Search Name Weight
setting, to produce the final Score for each hit.
  • OR
: Returns a search result if there is a match on the search name or every provided address element. The Advance Engine will find hits and display the Score for the higher of the
    Name Match
    or the
    Address Match
    .

Transfer to SCC/ISF
If you have been configured to integrate DPS companies with the same companies in ONESOURCE Supply Chain Compliance or ONESOURCE Importer Security Filing, the
Yes
button will be selected.
Search Name Weight
Utilized by the Advanced Screening Engine, this setting applies when the Search Name Address Option is
AND
and allows the customer to weight how the final hit score is calculated. For example, 50% Name 50% address will equally weight the Name Score with the Address Score for the final score.
When using the engine:
Modifications made on this screen will automatically trigger a re-screening process for all previously marked as “Clear” entities. The following changes will prompt this process:
  • Adjustments made to the "Search Name Weight".
  • Changes to the "Search Name Address".
  • Reduction in the "Overall Match" score.
  • Activation of a specific list by the user.
You will receive a notification on your screen prompting you to confirm changes.
Besides that, if “Activate New List” is set to “Y”, you will receive a system message every time a new DPS list has been added to ONESOURCE Global Trade Content.
Company Screening Options
The
Company Screening Options
section allows you to disable unused company address fields during screenings. You can also use this section to adjust the percentage match necessary to return a hit.
Company Screening Options
Description
Company Address Fields
  • Selected
: The company address field will be included as part of the screening process.
    Cleared
: The field will be omitted from the screening. If data for the field exists when a company is loaded, it is displayed but is not included on the screening.
Search Percentages
  • Search percentages allow you to increase or decrease the screening sensitivity for a given search field. Search percentages can be set separately for
    Name
    ,
    Address
    , and
    City
. Returned results will meet or exceed the percentage match threshold you specify. Company address lines are combined during screening and use the search percentage for
    Address Line 1
    .
  • Higher percentage
: Likely to result in fewer overall hits, but there is an increased risk of a missed potential match.
  • Lower percentage
: Likely to result in more overall hits, but there is an increased risk of returning false positives.
