Adding Corrections
Although the
Declaration Correction
screen predominantly focuses on completing corrections to lines flagged with discrepancies, it is also possible to view all lines for an entry regardless of error status. This feature allows the user to enter corrections for fields that were not flagged with a validation error, but ultimately require a correction. Adding an Individual Correction
To manually enter an individual required correction, click
Add New Record
at the top left of a line’s sub-grid.
Clicking
Add New Record
will open a blank set of fields. Enter all required information (Field Name, Current Value, Correct Value, Note, etc.), and then click Insert
. The new record will then appear on the grid.
Adding Corrections en Masse
Corrections can be made en masse to an entry line by using the
Field Name
and Correct Value
fields at the top of the grid. These boxes function similarly to adding an individual manual correction to a line.To select one or more individual line numbers for correction, choose a line number from the
Line Num
column and check the corresponding box on the far left.
To select all line numbers for correction, check the
Select All
box on the far left of the grid.
Once all line numbers to be corrected have been selected, choose a
Field Name
from the Field Name
drop-down.
Once a Field Name has been selected, enter the correct value into the
Correct Value
field. Click Apply
once all information has been provided.
Clicking
Apply
will open the Add Note
pop-up, which provides the option for adding a note to a correction. Enter a note and then click Apply Corrections
.
Once the changes have successfully been made, the following validation message will appear on the
Declaration Correction
screen:
