Storing External Data in Entry Verification
In addition to storing broker entry data, ONESOURCE Entry Verification can store external entry data used to validate what has been declared, such as US Census and ACE data. Please refer to the “

” screen for further reference.Storing National Importer Liquidation System (NILS) Date
Courtesy notices of liquidation/extension/suspension are sent to all operational ABI participants who are entry filers. While this notice is not legally binding, it does provide advance electronic notification of liquidations.
Under the National Importer Liquidation (NIL) program, an importer can request that all courtesy notices be sent to a specific ABI participant who is an entry filer. Importers requesting this service must submit a Hold Harmless Agreement to Customs.
Under NILS, the importer can designate a single broker to receive all of the importer's Courtesy Notices of Liquidation. The filer’s assigned Client Representative will provide information to enable a third-party filer to receive liquidation notices under the National Importer Liquidation System (NILS).
By providing the NILS data in ONESOURCE Entry Verification (sent via the designated broker) the
NILS
screen tracks liquidation dates in a central location.For this screen to be enabled:
- The client user must have a NILS already set up.
- The client user must have requested that NILS data be sent to ONESOURCE.
- The “NILS” screen in Entry Verification must be configured to display NILS data.
