Creating a Sample Set
To create a sample set for a newly created audit, choose an audit on the
Active Audits
tab and click Select Audit
.
Next, go to the
Selected Audit
tab and click Select Sample Set
. This link will only work if the audit has not already been started for the selected country.
If there is already a sample set for the selected audit, the user can create a new audit by clicking the
Create New Audit
button on the Active Audits
tab. From there, repeat the instructions listed above to select the sample set.
Clicking
Select Sample Set
will open the Sample Options
pop-up window, which allows you to define which set of entries to audit for the listed country.A subset of entries can be selected by a set number or a percentage. In addition, entries can be pulled from a date range or with a specific Entry Status, Broker, Importer, Mode of Transport, HS Number, or Export Country. Leaving the drop-down menus at
All
for the status or None
for the dates and additional fields will not take those limitations into account when selecting entries. The entries are selected via a backend “rules engine” functionality which ensures that the selection is partially random and partially targeted to provide an appropriate variety of certain characteristics (such as port of entry) along with potentially high-risk entries (such as entries containing high duty amounts). Once the parameters have been set, click
Select Sample
.
