Open For Correction (Reopen Entry)
A closed entry can be reopened from the
Entry Summary
screen. This function is an optional feature in ONESOURCE Entry Verification and must be requested by the client in order to be enabled. All usual validations will run for reopened entries. For this reason, it is imperative to update any comparison source data that needs correcting (e.g., Global Classification, Purchase Orders, Receipt Records) prior to reopening the entry.
Reopening a Closed Entry
To reopen a closed entry, first select and open a closed entry from the
Entry Summary
screen. The definition of a closed status may vary depending on how the system was configured. In the example below, a closed entry is defined by the Processed
status.
Choosing an entry from the
Entry Management
grid will automatically open the Entry Data
tab. In this tab, click the Open for Correction
link and make any necessary changes.
Once
Open for Correction
is clicked, the following validation message appears at the top of the screen:
The entry status changes to
Correction Required
.
Closing a Reopened Entry
To close a reopened entry, go to the
Entry Summary
screen and choose an entry to close. Click on the “Status” drop-down for this entry and select Completed After Corrections
. Alternatively, the user may also rerun validations as described in the Entry Validation
section of this help documentation.
