PSA/NES Transmission

When authorised for simplification, you can declare your goods using pre-shipment advice. Pre-shipment advice is referred to as a simplified declaration in the Customs Declaration Service. PSA is a light/skinny declaration for Export.
You can access this screen under the
Customs Regimes (CW and CDS)
menu option, below
Declarations
, as
Export: PSA and NES Assignment and Transmission
.
To create a new PSA.
  1. Click
    New
    at the top right of the screen.
  2. Enter the details or click
    Select Invoice
    to pull Invoice data on Declaration.
  3. Fill in the data on the screen.
  4. Click
    Save and Validate
    . Any validations related to the data will be shown under the
    Validation Warnings
    tab.
  5. After clearing all validations, click
    Transmit
    . The declaration fields will be locked until a response is received from customs.
    All incoming responses will be shown under the
    Transmission History
    tab.
    After getting Acceptance for PSA, the
    Supplement
    button will be visible at the top right corner of the screen.
To transmit an NES.
  1. Click
    Supplement
    to create an NES for this PSA.
  2. Fill in the details for the NES.
  3. Click
    Select Invoice
    to pull data from processed invoices.
  4. On the select Invoice popup, select the shipments you want to attach to this declaration.
    After selecting an invoice, the list automatically refreshes and is sorted based upon grouping criteria.
  5. Click
    Save and Validate
    . Any validations related to the data will be shown under the
    Validation Warnings
    tab.
  6. After clearing all validations, click
    Transmit
    . The declaration fields will be locked until a response is received from customs.
All incoming responses will be shown under the
Transmission History
tab.
