Economic Operators Registration and Identification Number (EORI) Overview
An Economic Operators Registration and Identification Number (EORI) is an identification number leveraged within the European Union (EU). Any economic operator within the EU customs territory will have assigned an EORI number that can be used for customs purposes.

EORI Usage in Import Management
Global Codes
The EORI will show in any dropdown on a screen that pulls in a
Federal ID
or Customs ID
. These Federal ID Types can be found under the Maintenance > Global Codes screen by searching FieldName FederalIDType
, as shown below:
Import Management
Within the Import Management module, the EORI can be specified as the Customs ID Type for any party that it is needed for.
If the EORI is populated for the Ultimate Consignee party type for a shipment where the Import Country is a Country within the European Union, and you leverage our standard Commercial Invoice documents, the EORI will actually print on the Commercial Invoice documents in the Ultimate Consignee box. This allows easier sharing of documentation with your supply chain partners to ensure easy reporting when moving data through the EU.
