Export Verification
The ONESOURCE Export Verification solution is designed to support a closed-loop declaration review process and addresses the challenges of auditing declarations on a consistent basis. When communications between the exporter and filer break down, the information stored in the filer’s system may not match the information stored in the user’s system, thereby creating a discrepancy. Discrepancies can also exist as a result of simple human errors.
Discrepancies between exporter and Source data typically consist of:
- Inconsistent/Incorrect Product Descriptions
- Inconsistent/Incorrect Export Tariff Numbers
- Inconsistent/Incorrect Import Country
- Inconsistent/Incorrect License Number
- Inconsistent/Incorrect Reported Quantity and/or UOM
ONESOURCE Export Verification compares declaration data against other applicable data residing in ONESOURCE, such as:
- Classification data stored in ONESOURCE Global Classification
- Quantity and valuation in a Commercial Invoice in ONESOURCE Export Management
There are no limitations for data sources within the system. For example, comparison between declaration data and data residing within ONESOURCE could include only Global Classification or additional external data sources such as:
- Purchase Orders
- Commercial Invoices
- Packing Lists
- Accounts Receivable
- Other Shipment Documents
