FTA: BOM Analysis - Rule Change Analysis
The
Rule Change Analysis
tab identifies Bills of Material (BOMs) that may require reanalysis due to updates in Rules of Origin content. When a rule is updated after a BOM has been analyzed, the affected BOMs automatically appear in this tab, allowing you to quickly identify BOMs that may no longer reflect the current Rules of Origin. The tab displays the following read-only columns:
- Analysis Number
- Agreement
- Bill of Materials
- Product Number
- HS Number
- Old Rule of Origin
- Expiration Date
- New Rule of Origin
- Change Date
In addition to the read-only columns, the grid includes the
Original BOM Worksheet
column. Each entry in this column is a hyperlink that opens the corresponding BOM Worksheet in a pop-up window, displaying the results from the most recent analysis run prior to the rule change.Reanalyzing BOMs in bulk
The Rule Change Analysis tab includes bulk selection capabilities, allowing you to reprocess multiple BOMs against updated rules at once instead of handling them individually.
- To select individual BOMs for reanalysis, check the corresponding checkboxes in the selection column.
- To select all BOMs at once, use theSelect Alloption. The system will ask you to confirm twice before proceeding, as this action affects all entries in the list.
- To deselect all, useClear All.
After reanalysis completes, each reanalyzed BOM moves out of the Unknowns tab into either the Pass or the Failed tab, based on the result. To review how the new analysis compares to the previous results, select
View
in the Detail column for any BOM entry.
